Those lucky enough to get a good spot along the Gilbert Days route are treated to a two-hour Parade of magnificent floats, talented marching bands, and high-stepping equestrians. The two-and-a-half mile Gilbert Days Parade route begins at the corner of Juniper Street and Gilbert Road in downtown Gilbert. The Parade travels south along Gilbert Road at a leisurely 2.5-mile per hour pace to Civic Center Drive and stops at the marquee of Gilbert Town Square (unless the train decides to grace us with its presence then we are stopped "dead in our tracks" right in the middle of the procession.) At the end of the route, the Parade de-stages and the Gilbert Days Festival begins.
