On November 14, 2009 at 9:00am the Gilbert Days Rock’N’Rodeo Parade will be Rollin’ down Gilbert Rd! Those lucky enough to get a good spot along the Gilbert Days route are treated to 1-hour Parade of magnificent floats, talented bands, and high-stepping equestrians. The one mile Gilbert Days Parade route begins at the corner of Juniper Street and Gilbert Road in downtown Gilbert. The Parade travels south along Gilbert Road at a leisurely 2.5-mile per hour pace and stops at the Gilbert Public Schools Education Building at 140 S. Gilbert Rd (unless the train decides to grace us with its presence then we are stopped "dead in our tracks" right in the middle of the procession.) At the end of the route, the Parade de-stages and the Gilbert Days After Parade Party begins at the Gilbert Town Square.
We are encouraging everyone to arrive early, and utilize the free parking and shuttle service, provided by Gilbert Public Schools. Park in the Gilbert Town Square, board the shuttle, be transported to your favorite viewing location, watch the parade, and re-board the shuttle back to the After Parade Party at Gilbert Town Square. The Shuttle busses will be running 6:45am - 8:45am and again from 11:00am - 11:45am. Downtown parking will be limited due to the fact that the parade will be de-staging in that area. There will be no public parking in the area between the Gilbert Public Schools Education Building and Gilbert Elementary School.
